Climate Justice

Climate justice means understanding that climate change is not only an environmental problem—it is also an issue of equality and human rights. Its effects are often felt most strongly by people and communities who have contributed the least to the problem.

At Really Cool Adventure, we create a welcoming space where young people from different cultures and backgrounds can learn about climate change, share their experiences and question how environmental decisions affect people differently. Through workshops, debates, creative activities and international youth projects, they explore subjects such as responsible consumption, biodiversity, sustainable careers, pollution and the environmental impact of new technologies, including AI.

We believe young people should not only learn about climate problems—they should have a real voice in finding solutions. We encourage them to develop their own ideas, take part in community activities and turn learning into practical local action. This may include reducing waste, exploring Balbriggan’s natural environment, creating awareness campaigns or presenting their ideas to local organisations.

Our approach connects local experiences with global responsibility. Young people discover how everyday choices in Ireland can affect communities and environments elsewhere in the world. By working with partners from different countries, they also learn that climate justice requires cooperation, fairness and respect for different perspectives. Our aim is to help young people become informed, confident and active citizens who believe they can contribute to positive change.
