At Really Cool Adventure STEAM is not presented like a traditional school subject. Young people learn by voluntary participation in experimenting, designing, building, creating and solving real problems together. The focus is not only on technical knowledge, but also on curiosity, creativity, teamwork and confidence.
We make STEAM practical and enjoyable. Young people explore coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, Makey Makey, digital design, art and heat-press projects. They are encouraged to test their own ideas, learn from mistakes and help one another. The young person is an active creator rather than someone simply following instructions
We also use technology to begin wider conversations. While learning about robots and AI, our young people discuss online safety, responsible use of technology, the future of employment and the environmental impact of AI. Environmental projects allow them to connect science and engineering with climate action and sustainability. Art and design help them communicate their ideas creatively.
Our STEAM activities are inclusive and adapted to different ages, abilities and levels of experience. No previous technical knowledge is required. Working in small groups helps young people develop communication, leadership and problem-solving skills while giving everyone an opportunity to participate.
Through local workshops and international projects, we help young people recognise their abilities and discover possible future interests, studies and careers. This supports the European Youth Goals of quality learning, inclusive societies, quality employment and a sustainable green Europe.
